Online classroom game

Guess the Word (Classroom Wordle)

A Wordle-style guessing game for the classroom with your own spelling or vocabulary words. Any length, optional hints, team turns. Free and made for the projector.

How to play Guess the Word with your class

  1. Load your spelling list or this week’s vocabulary under Edit words.
  2. The class (or the team whose turn it is) suggests a guess with the right number of letters. Type it and press Enter.
  3. Green means the right letter in the right place. Yellow means the letter is in the word somewhere else. Gray means it is not in the word.
  4. Solve it in six guesses. Use Hint when the class is stuck.

Unlike the daily Wordle, the words come from your lesson and can be any length from 2 to 10 letters, so it works from kindergarten sight words to high school vocabulary.
