How to play 20 Questions
- The leader secretly thinks of something from the unit (an animal, a historical figure, a planet).
- Students take turns asking yes-or-no questions.
- Keep a tally of questions on the board.
- Anyone can make a guess on their turn, but a wrong guess counts as a question.
- If nobody guesses within 20 questions, the leader wins.
Variations
- Teams: two teams take turns asking questions and race to solve it.
- ESL: require full question forms ("Is it bigger than a car?").
π‘ Teacher tips
- Teach good strategy: ask broad questions first to narrow things down.
